Greetings, Grace Church, from Rhonda Stanton, Director of Music, and Zoë Pouliot, our lovely young singer.  Today we celebrate Scripture and Song … a different type of service we enjoy each quarter when there is a fifth Sunday in the month.  I have asked some of my young friends from KPAC Young Artists to do some reading for us.  Please listen to the readings and follow along, allowing these young voices to bring fresh life to the eternal words of Scripture.  Some songs have been selected for you to sing along.  Please make a joyful noise; perfect pitch is not required, just joy.  Other songs have been recorded for listening and reflection and maybe even a little inspiration.  Listen and see if the words we’ve been inspired to sing might speak to you.

Lastly, a thought.  Usually our congregational worship fits into a short span of time on Sunday mornings, then we take what we have heard and sung into our week.  Hopefully, we reflect during the week what happened during the service, but I know it’s also easy to leave that behind and just get going.  While I surely hope you will take the time to listen to all of the recordings and look at all the visuals, consider one positive in this unusual situation; you can easily return to the words of Scripture that are recorded.  You can easily come back to a song.  You can spread the elements of the service into your week, and just maybe that could be a comfort in the isolation of social distancing and uncertainty.

Blessings on you and yours!
