Welcome and Announcements
Welcome to everyone who visits here. Trinity Sunday begins the liturgical season of ordinary time that follows Pentecost. In this service, we celebrate the revelation of God as the Holy Trinity—God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
This week we have Mother Dorothy Hartzog leading the worship, and wonderful music from our church musicians Rhonda Stanton and Zoë Pouliot, and the appointed scriptures for today are read by Pat Wood and Wilma Ziegler. We encourage everyone to pray and sing along from your homes. We are all looking forward to when we can safely worship together in person, but we’re together through the Spirit as we worship God.
A note from Zoë and Rhonda: We have recorded a special song, “Come and find the quiet center” this week. The lyrics are included for you, just in case these words speak to you in the same way we felt these lyrics speak to us.

Opening Hymn – 365 Come Thou Almighty King
1 Come, thou almighty King,
help us thy Name to sing,
help us to praise.
Father whose love unknown
all things created own,
build in our hearts thy throne,
Ancient of Days.
2 Come, thou incarnate Word,
by heaven and earth adored;
our prayer attend:
come, and thy people bless;
come, give thy word success;
stablish thy righteousness,
Savior and friend.
3 Come, holy Comforter,
thy sacred witness bear
in this glad hour:
thou who almighty art,
now rule in every heart,
and ne’er from us depart,
Spirit of power.
4 To Thee, great One in Three,
the highest praises be,
hence evermore;
thy sovereign majesty
may we in glory see,
and to eternity
love and adore.

Hymn 368 – Holy Father, Great Creator
1 Holy Father, great Creator,
source of mercy, love, and peace,
look upon the Mediator,
clothe us with his righteousness;
heavenly Father, heavenly Father,
through the Savior hear and bless.
2 Holy Jesus, Lord of glory,
whom angelic hosts proclaim,
while we hear thy wondrous story,
meet and worship in thy Name,
dear Redeemer, dear Redeemer,
in our hearts thy peace proclaim.
3 Holy Spirit, Sanctifier,
come with unction from above,
touch our hearts with sacred fire,
fill them with the Savior’s love.
Source of comfort, Source of comfort,
cheer us with the Savior’s love.
4 God the Lord, through every nation
let thy wondrous mercies shine.
In the song of thy salvation
every tongue and race combine.
Great Jehovah, great Jehovah,
form our hearts and make them thine.
Gospel Reading: Matthew 28:16-20
Sermon
Nicene Creed
We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Special Song: Come and Find a Quiet Center
1. Come and find the quiet center
in the crowded life we lead
Find the room for hope to enter,
find the frame where we are freed
Clear the chaos and the clutter,
clear our eyes that we can see
All the things that really matter;
be at peace and simply be.
2. Silence is a friend who claims us,
cools the heat and slows the pace
God it is who speaks and names us,
knows our being, touches base
Making space within our thinking,
lifting shades to show the sun
Raising courage when we’re shrinking,
finding scope for faith begun
3. In the Spirit let us travel,
open to each other’s pain
Let our loves and fears unravel,
celebrate the space we gain
There’s a place for deepest dreaming,
there’s a time for heart to care
In the Spirit’s lively scheming,
there is always room to spare
The Peace
Go in peace to love and serve the Lord
Closing Hymn – Holy, Holy, Holy
1 Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee:
Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty,
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity.
2 Holy, holy, holy! All the saints adore thee,
casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;
cherubim and seraphim falling down before thee,
which wert, and art, and evermore shalt be.
3 Holy, holy, holy! Though the darkness hide thee,
though the sinful human eye thy glory may not see,
only thou art holy; there is none beside thee,
perfect in power, in love, and purity.
4 Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
All thy works shall praise thy Name, in earth, and sky, and sea;
Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty,
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity.
